തിരുവനന്തപുരം- കെ.എസ്.യു വനിതാ നേതാവ് മിവ ജോളിയെ അപമാനിച്ച പൊലീസുകാര്‍ക്കെതിരെ നടപടി ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ട് പ്രതിപക്ഷ നേതാവ് വി.ഡി സതീശന്‍ സംസ്ഥാന പൊലീസ് മേധാവിക്ക് കത്ത് നല്‍കി.
കേരള സ്റ്റുഡന്റ്‌സ് യൂണിയന്‍ നേതാവ് മിവാ ജോളിയെ ക്രൂരമായി മര്‍ദിച്ച പോലീസ് ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥര്‍ക്കെതിരെ അടിയന്തര നടപടി സ്വീകരിക്കണമെന്നാണ് കത്തിലെ ആവശ്യം. വനിതാ പ്രവര്‍ത്തകരെ കയ്യേറ്റം ചെയ്ത പോലീസുകാര്‍ സിആര്‍പിസി വ്യവസ്ഥകളും നിയമങ്ങളും ലംഘനം നടത്തിയതായും കത്തില്‍ പറയുന്നു.
വനിതാ പ്രവര്‍ത്തകയെ പൊതുസ്ഥലത്ത് വലിച്ചിഴച്ച് മര്‍ദിക്കുന്നതും പോലീസ് വാഹനത്തിനുള്ളില്‍ കയറാന്‍ പോലീസ് ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥന്‍ തലയില്‍ പിടിച്ച് ബലമായി തള്ളുന്നതും ദൃശ്യങ്ങളില്‍ കാണാം. പോലീസുദ്യോഗസ്ഥരുടെ ഈ പ്രവൃത്തികള്‍ പരിഷ്‌കൃത സമൂഹത്തിന് അപമാനമാണെന്നും പ്രതിപക്ഷ നേതാവ് പറഞ്ഞു.

I write to request urgent action against the police officers who brutally manhandled Kerala Students Union leader Miva Joli in Kalamaserry yesterday.
The incident happened on February 11, 2023, when Miva and her youth congress colleagues raised protests in Kalamaserry, Ernakulam. The male police officers, in flagrant violation of the CrPC provisions and relevant state Acts, dragged and manhandled her in public. The police officer was also seen pushing her head violently when she got inside the police vehicle. These acts of the police officers are an insult to civilised society and are deemed to be with the intention of outraging her modesty.
I strongly condemn the barbaric act on the part of police officers and request strict action against the officers.
